MÚINTEOIRÍ: 1 – RANG 6: 0

MÚINTEOIRÍ: 1 – RANG 6: 0

Múinteoirí hold on to earn 1 – 0 victory.

Bhí cluiche an sportiúil ar siúl ar an fhaice ag Radharc na Beanna Boirce inniu.

Bhí an aimsir an-te agus brothallach.

A very sporting game took place on the green at Mourne View today.

Weather conditions were very hot and humid with pitchside temperatures reaching 22 degrees.

The múinteoirí held on for a 1-0 win but not without some very exciting play from Rang 6 who showed some great passing movements and great running from both cailíní agus buachaillí. Rang 6 had come close a number of times and were unlucky not to be ahead at half time.

Both goalkeepers helped keep the score down with some very alert movement between the posts.

The múinteoirí had some divine assistance in the form of Fr. James who showed considerable skill when brought on for the second half.

Well done to the referee who managed to control the game without the assistance of VAR.

Well done to all who took part!     Bhí sibh ar fheabhas!

During the current hot weather we ask all parents to be extra vigilant to ensure child safety.

1. We would recommend and encourage the use of sunscreen before coming to school.

2. We ask where possible that children would bring and wear hats/caps when outside.

3. It is important  to ensure that the children have adequate hydration for  the school day.

SHANE HEGARTY VISITS RANG 6!

LOCAL AUTHOR SHANE HEGARTY BRINGS IT ALL BACK HOME AND GOES BACK TO SCHOOL!

The páistí of rang a 6 were delighted and thrilled to welcome acclaimed local author, Shane Hegarty, into their classrooms.

Shane is the author of the popular Darkmouth series.

He spoke to the children about his love for writing and also gave many excellent tips on how to become a successful writer.

The children really enjoyed the educational and very humorous presentation.

Míle buíochas

Shane.
