Active Schools Week

27th May – 31st May

We are holding our 3rd Active Schools Week this year starting on Monday 27th of May.

As part of this week children should wear their school tracksuit in each day that week as each class will have an active lesson every day. They will also get some active homework to complete each night.

There are lots of fun activities planned for the week. These include Rugby, Tai Chi, GAA stations, Soccer, Mini Olympics, Orienteering, Tennis, Boxing and a whole school dance. During this week we will have a “Shake up Wake up” each morning in the Junior yard at 8.50 a.m. to start each day off. Please go straight to the Junior Yard for this activity. Múinteoirí will then bring the classes in from the yard. Please feel free to join in.

On Friday the 31st of May we are going to hold a “40 Minute Fun Run” to celebrate our schools 40th anniversary year. Our senior side pupils will complete the 40 minute fun run in the morning. After this we are inviting any current parents or any past pupils who wish to run to join us at 12.45 for a 40 minute fun run to mark our schools milestone year. If you wish to run with your paistí in the morning run please feel free to do so also.

Comhghairdeas Junior Girls!

Comhghairdeas Junior Girls!

Great excitement as the Junior Girls team become the first Junior Girls Team in the 40 year history of Scoil Réalt na Mara to get to the Fingal League Final.

Amazing performances in every position on the field of play ensured that the Réalt na Mara Junior Girls won the day with a 3.06 to 1.02 scoreline against a a very gallant Lusk team.

After the game the team were delighted and excited to make Réalt na Mara history!

The team have shown great determination this year and we are all so proud of them!

Comhghairdeas to In De Brett agus In. Uí Fhearáil on making management history, for their dedication and an obair go léir.

A great team performance allround! Ní neart go cuir le chéile!

Ealáin Pop i Rang 3

Ealáin Pop i Rang 3

In Rang 3 we recently explored some of the artists from the Pop Art movement, such as Rob Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol.

We then created our own Pop Art based on the work of Julien Opie, using ourselves as the subject of the paintings.

We were delighted with the results.

Maith sibh Rang 3 tá na pictiúir go hálainn ar fad.

Pop Art is currently on display in the Rang 3 Gallery of Modern Art (the corridor outside Rang 3) for a limited time only.
