Our School Ár Scoil
Scoil Réalt na Mara is a welcoming school which promotes a positive atmosphere which will allow everyone to develop.
Our school is a co-educational primary school, in Skerries in North County Dublin. The school was founded in 1978 and the school provides for the education of girls and boys from Junior Infants to 6th Class.
The school places emphasis on the development of the whole-child, for life. The pupils are central in their own education with a focus on respect and equality to allow their talents to develop. The school expects all children to achieve a high standard for themselves.
Respect Meas
The school recognises with respect, and values the central role of parents in education and seeks to foster communication in a positive, regular and ongoing manner to add to the strong tradition already established.
The school places a strong emphasis on the Irish language and on Irish culture. Scoil Réalt na Mara places a particular and unique focus on oral Irish both during formal classes and incidentally throughout the day. Irish culture is promoted through song, the school choir and dance.
The importance of the development of the whole-child is recognised with particular emphasis on participation in all sports irrespective of ability.
The school emphasises the importance of respect for the environment, both locally and in general, while seeking to foster this respect in the children.
The importance of on-going staff-development is recognised and promoted to allow all members of school staff to further develop their skills.

Tuismitheoirí Parents
Is scoil fáiltiúil í Scoil Réalt na Mara le atmasféar dearfach chun cabhrú le gach duine forbairt a dhéanamh.
Is bunscoil co-oideachasúil í atá lonaithe sna Scéirí i dtuaisceart Contae Átha Cliath. Bunaíodh an scoil í Meán Fómhair 1978 agus cuireann an scoil oideachais ar fáil do chailíní agus buachaillí, ó Naíonáin go Rang 6.
Cuireann an scoil béim ar an phaiste uile a fhorbairt don saol. Tá na paistí larnach ina gcuid oideachais féin agus tá an oideachas sin dírithe ar an phaiste le meas agus le cothramaíocht chun a gcuid talainn uile a fhorbairt. Bíonn an scoil ag dúil le daltaí ard-chaidhdeán a bhaint amach dóibh féin.
Áithníonn an scoil an ról thábhachtach atá ag tuismitheoirí san oideachas agus cothaíonn an scoil, le meas, teagmháil rialta agus leanúnach ar bhonn dearfach le tuismitheoirí uile na scoile le cuir leis an bunchloch láidir atá leagtha síos thar na mblianta ó bunaíodh Scoil Réalt na Mara.
Gaeilge Irish
Cuireann an scoil an-bhéim ar leith ar an nGaeilge agus ar chultúr na hÉireann. Tá focas ar leith ar Gaeilge ó bhéal a fhorbairt sna ranganna foirmiúla agus go teagmhasach i rith an lae. Cuirtear cultúr gaelach na hÉireann chun cinn trí amhránaíocht, ceol, cór na scoile agus damhsa.
Áithnitear an tabhacht atá le forbairt an phaiste uile agus díritear ar rannpháirtíocht í gursaí spórt do chuile dhálta ag chuile leibhéal.
Cuireann an scoil an-bhéim ar meas don timpeallacht, an timpeallacht áitiúil agus an timpeallacht i gcoitine.
Áithnitear an tábhacht atá le forbairt foirne leanúnach agus le deiseanna a chuir ar fáil do gach duine sa scoil cuir leis na scileanna atá bainte amach acu.
